Professor Song Xi Chen has been awarded the  2022 ICSA Peter Hall Lecture Award by International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA).  The award is established to honor Professor Peter Hall's life and achievements and his contributions to the ICSA.  Professor Peter Gavin Hall was an Australian statistician who made profound and creative contributions in mathematical statistics and probability theory, and was Professor Chen's PhD advisor. He was a strong supporter and friend of the ICSA and Chinese statisticians, especially young researchers. He was a constant source of inspiration for the ICSA members.
